USB WebCams using the older USB 1.1
interface compress the incoming video due to the speed limitation of the
interface. Video compression typically results in a loss of quality in the

the hi-speed FireWire 1394 interface, the PYRO supports super high quality
video at an uncompressed 640 x 480 resolution video @ 30 frames per second.
